You can find two really excellent reviews of Sproatly Smith's "The Yew And The Hare" and "Pixieled" albums at the Psyche Van Het Folk Website (Acid Folk - Review Page 32).This is a super and very informative dutch website which has a focus on psychedelic/acid/wyrdfolk/pagan folk music and much, much more. They also have a regular radio show. Thanks to Ian for pointing this out to me. www.psychevanhetfolk.homestead.com

BOSQUES "Pleroma Sum"
BOSQUES are a superb duo drom Buenos Aires, Argentina. When I heard the bands music for the first time I was really impressed ."Pleroma Sum" is their debut release which is a three track EP clocking in at almost thirty minutes. The first track "Dorme O Ve" is a slice of psychedelic post rock with a simple repetative chorus. The second track "Libro Para Salir Al Dia" is a short and much gentler acoustic affair. The final track "Numen Omen" is a very slow and hypnotic drawn out piece of music reminding me very much of the Velvet Underground with its scratchy violin, electric guitars, slow plodding bassline and simple effective chorus.Probably the best debut EP I have heard this year.Available now in an edition of 42 hand numbered copies.

Sproatly Smith "Pixieled" (RW 126)
This is the second Sproatly Smith release on Reverb Worship.“Pixieled" is a really superb and enchanting recording which takes its inspiration from folklore. Many tales exist of mischievous spirits of the dead or other supernatural beings such as pixies
attempting to lead travellers astray so that the hapless traveller becomes hopelessly lost, even when they are on familiar territory .In Devon folklore this is known as being pixieled. The way to cure yourself of being pixieled is to take your clothes off, turn them inside out and then you can find your way home again.
This new album features lovely vocals from Sarah aka Mrs Sproatly Smith. Some of the songs feature vocal samples taken from various sources alongside field recordings amidst a fremework of a myriad of acoustic and electric guitars, flutes, violin and birdsong. The album contains twelve wonderful tracks recorded at Oxford & King Studios in Hereford during 2009.Overall a wonderful and worthy follow up to "The Yew And The Hare".Available now in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies.

Wereju "The Fear Of God" (RW 125)
I am very pleased to introduce you to the lastest album from Wereju."The Fear Of God" is one huge drone recording made especially for Reverb Worship. It contains just two tracks, "It Keeps You Awake At Night" and "By Day It Haunts Your Prayers".This album visits very dark subject matter conveyed via dense drifting and cavernous musical soundscapes. The cover is made to look like a momento from a funeral with a white paper band around its middle. This cd is available now in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies.Sleep tight.

Latest Reviews :
Thanks to Phil and Buisness Lady from the ever reliable Norman Records for two rather super reviews. Both of these limited edition releases are still available now from me.
Underwater Wind "Death Of Sorrow"
We got a bunch of things in this week from Reverb Worship. I randomly picked up this Underwater Wind CD mainly 'cos I liked the name as it conjured up amusing (recent) memories from bathtime! Still the less said about that the better! It's only been on for 2 minutes while I've been writing my opening gambit and already I'm sucked into it's odd little world. The opener is a weird percussive beast with tribal rhythms and weird noises. There's a whole weird psychedelic spaced out vibe throughout the album which is pretty lo-fi in essence. 'Scratching The Surface' has loads of weird electronic space noises and some super low bass squashing your brain into submission. It's all very aquatic sounding! It's an album which is gonna take you to places you didn't know existed but only if you're prepared to be taken there. Enter at your own peril...... It's really rather good!.
Book Of Shadows "Cosmic Sovereignty"
This is the second offering from Book Of Shadows on Reverb Worship and it's a mammoth beast of a record. Six tunes clocking in at 80 minutes is way too much to review in one sitting (I usually get about ten mins per release) but from what I'm hearing now it sounds great. Ambient vocal chants wrestle it out with abstract noise attacks and bizarre dry percussive drum machines to create an unearthly tranquil hum. I'm digging the random form of this track. I reckon there's loads to explore here so you should have a listen to the sound clips to get a better idea of what to expect or, just take my word for it... This is real nice. Reverb Worship, you've done it again. Congratulations lads !.

You will probably have noticed that I have made some changes to the website. These were long overdue in my opinion. The next release will be by Wereju and called "The Fear Of God".I have got some pretty cool stuff in the pipeline.I don't really want to spill the beans at this point in time.

New Release
Underwater Wind
"Death Of Sorrow" (RW 124)
The mysterious Underwater Wind hail from New Jersey in the USA.With a wish to remain anonymous, "Death Of Sorrow" is their debut release. The music of Underwater Wind is modestly self described by them as "background music for the foreground".To my ears they create interesting electronic ambient textural soundscapes with treated instrumentation, wordless vocals, rythmical patterns and outerwordly psychedelic oddness. The album contains eleven tracks with a cover design by Underwater Wind themselves.Available now in a hand numbered edition of 40 copies. This is the first of two releases. The second will probably appear towards the end of the year.

Mountainhood
"Year Of The Mountain" Reissue
(RW 122)
Doing this reissue of ¡°Year Of The Mountain¡± has brought back many memories for me.Its great to hear these six tracks again. You may recall the original issue of this cd having a gatefold spray painted recycled card sleeve (which at the time to take ages to do)¡¦.and not forgetting the pipe cleaner that held it all together.
For this reissue Michael has made new artwork for me.The original issue of this is now extremely hard to track down.During the time it took to create all the covers for the first issue, I recall Michael informing me he was changing his name from Almaden to Mountainhood. Then the title of the cd went from ¡°Prince Fish¡± to ¡°Year Of The Mountain¡±.Finally, right at the last minute we went from five tracks up to six tracks with the addition of the final song ¡°Grassy¡±.It all worked out rather well in the end. This reissue is in a limited hand numbered edition of 50 copies. The cd also has a new catalogue number.

Timas 23 "Flames On Venus"
(RW 123)
This is the third release on Reverb Worship from Timas 23.I asked Timmy to write a brief description of the album for me. "One long stellar track over 70 minutes in length! Featuring the Moog Theremin, Synths, Electronics, Bowed Tibetan Ritual Bells & Bowls. Recorded with hands moving energy in the air around the antennas qualifies a spontaneous free form recording. Channeled from deep within a cave on Venus where the flames from the planet's surface can be heard as they echo through the chambers of the cavern. A luminous violet glow leads you deeper into the underworld caverns of the unknown". The cover features a scientific astronmical filter chart plotting the path of Venus for the years 1994 through to 2001.This cd is available now in a limited edition of 50 hand numbered copies.

The Fractal Skulls (RW 121)

Mempis Khan "We Can't Say" (RW 119)
The time has arrived to announce the second release from Memphis Khan on Reverb Worship. This time the band serve up a wonderful ten track album entitled "We Can't Say".If you liked the bands debut release which was "The Merchant" EP (think fuzzy psychedelic folky/pop/rock with a Medicine Head / Kevin Ayers feel) you will really love this album. The new album takes similar musical stylings from the debut but gives them a twist using more varied instrumentation and added band members. The cover features an image taken from a second world war archive of collection of kids wearing gas masks. Each cover has been hand finished and comes in a limited edition of 50 hand numbered copies.

Lapizjack (RW 118)
Lapizjack is a duo from japan which is a collaboration between Spiritjack and guitarist Lapiz. Both play in different bands.Spiritjack is a member of Mizuumi and Lapiz is member of Friction. All of the tracks on this cd were recorded "live" at two different venues in Tokyo (Guru Guru & Mothers Ruin).Musically Spiritjack uses electronics, many samples, a good many of which you will recognise together with field recordings and all sorts of other stuff.Lapiz adds layers of inventive bluesy electric guitar and effects. The cd is available now in an edition of 40 hand numbered copies.

11/5/2010:
Here are some reviews of recent Reverb Worship releases from the Boa Melody Bar.Thanks to Gayle & John:
Hayaken - Jugti cdr (Reverb Worship)
If the words "gentle" and "soothing" are in danger of sounding a bit flat as a description of this record, they're not meant to, it's simply that Hassaka Kenichi, aka Hayaken, makes rather lovely music which is both gentle and soothing! Acoustic guitar and banjo go forwards, sometimes electric guitar goes backwards, there's a heartfelt singing style and a more experimental side to sound too. I can't find any connection between Kenichi and Maher Shalal Hash Baz, but if you like Tori Kudo's work, you'll probably enjoy this too. (JC)
Kwannon - The Twisted Book cdr (Reverb Worship)
Another fine disc from Jenne Micale, subtitled "A Meditation on the Sorrows of Derdriu". 12 songs tell the story of Derdriu, heroine of Irish folk mythology. It's perfect subject matter for her medieval inspired drone-folk soundworld. Jenne's hypnotic operatic warble is accompanied by various stringed instruments such as hammered dulcimer, kantele, harp, bulbul tarange and Appalachian dulcimer and the rhythmic undertow of frame drum. "Invocation at the Southern Gate" is Kwannon at her most ethereal - murmured invocations and a siren's chorale heard over glassy chimes (courtesy of Bob Neigh). Completely unique and highly recommended.
Oortcloud - cdr (Reverb Worship)
Beams of lunar synth light transmitted by Clive Murrell who also records as Wyrdstone. This is very 1970s, bringing to mind Radiophonic Workshop music for schools programmes of that era, Neu! and Cluster. Different coloured flourescent sleeves. Recommended.
Yoshino - Sun, Moon cdr (Reverb Worship)
Solo release from Yoshino of Tranko / Mizuumi. Mystical Eastern-influenced psych-ballads featuring electric saz and esraj. Gorgeous hand-made pink lace cover.
Mark Bradley / The Big Drum In The Sky Religion / Noz Diloar - Chronological cdr (Reverb Worship)
Three way split on which each artist aurally represents an era in time. The Big Drum ... open up in the Stone Age with a long piece consisting mainly of field recordings - low rumblings, rain / water, bird song. Noz Diloar, French electronic musician, traces the Bronze Age with 7 tracks of starry-eyed synth instrumentals. Mark Bradley's 5 tracks form The Iron Age and are minimal synthscapes full of lunar woosh and pulsar plants.
Pete Fosco - Byzantium cdr (Reverb Worship)
Solo distorted guitar howl. The final track is particularly fine, a fuzzball of notes howling into the night. Hand sprayed sleeves.

Pete Fosco : Live (RW 117)
This is "Pete Fosco : Live".My idea with this one was to make something which looked like one of those 1970's bootleg lp's.A rather superb album which features two improvised workouts from different locations. The first track is loud and was recorded by Jon Lorens in Cincinnati at the Art Damage Lodge. The second track which is quiet and spidery was recorded by Mike Kasunic in Pittsburgh at the Morning Glory Coffee House. This cd is available now in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies.

Im really delighted to be able to finally announce the release of the "Scattered Ashes" album by Anubis.Anubis is a duo project which features the considerable talents of Sand Snowman and Demian Castellanos.Originally conceived and recorded in 2004 and 2005.It has remained on the shelf and unreleased until now.The album itself is an absolute delight. It contains six tracks which have an egyptian theme moulded together with the usual Sand Snowman arrangements, instrumentation, musical stylings and field recordings which present something very interesting indeed. This cd is available now in a limited edition of 50 hand numbered copies.
This release features two excellent bands. The first is Temple Music from the UK.Their track is a long atmospheric ambient organic drone piece which has chimes, bells, detuned strings and sound effects amongst slow percussive repetative rumbling passages. The second band is Al Qaeda from the USA.Their track has a low heavy distorted scuzzy feedback fused noise with effects, robotic high pitched voices and electronic glitches. This is actually two pieces of music which are merged together. The cover has an image of an old print from the 1800's.This cd is available now in a hand numbered edition of 50 copies.

Pete Fosco "Byzantium"
(RW 114)
I am very pleased to announce the new album from Pete Fosco called "Byzantium".Recorded in late summer 2009.The cd contains three new tracks which Pete described as "nice, thick and fuzzed out, droney type solo Telecaster hot summertime deep woods jams".He certainly is correct. These three tracks are probably the most scorching feedback layered music Pete has released so far.The cd is available now in a edition of 50 hand numbered copies. The covers are sprayed in flourescent yellow and emerald green using leaves as stencils.

Lady Space
"Long Lost In A Twilight Head"
(RW 113)
The 1st of april brings news of a superb new release.Lady Space are a wonderful trio from Sweden."Long Lost In A Twilight Head" is the bands debut recording. This album has been a real favourite of mine of late.In fact its the best album I have listened to all year.Think of it as a continuatition of the psychedelic folk trilogy from a while back comprising Wyrdstone, The Hare And The Moon and Sproatly Smith. In fact "Long Lost In A Twilight Head" could be part four. The album contains twelve tracks of acoustic delight with electric guitars, bass, mandolin, organ and flute with the addition of lovely harmonised vocals. There are various psychedelic twists and a touch of Comus in the mix too.The album gets the highest possible recommendation from me.Thanks to Andreas, Leif and Jocke.
This cd is available now and comes in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies in a white card sleeve with paste on artwork.

"Chronological" (RW 109)
Im very pleased to announce the release of "Chronological".This is a thirteen track themed three way split cdr from The Big Drum In The Sky Religion, Noz Diloar and Mark Bradley. The original idea for this came about in late 2009.It has taken me around a month or so to do the artwork myself. All done in water colour, pen and ink with aerosol sprayed touches. My cover theme has been influenced by cave paintings. Each cover is different, hand numbered and unique.Musically each of the three artists has created music depicting a specific period in time.First we have the "Stone Age" with one huge track by The Big Drum In The Sky Religion. This comes over like some slowly evolving soundtrack to a National Geographic Channel documentary with a rumbling volcano, bird calls and animal cries, gurgling mud, flowing water and primative percussion. The next seven tracks are the "Bronze Age" by french electronic musician Noz Diloar. Finally we have the "Iron Age" and five tracks by Mark Bradley.
This cd is available now in a limited edition of 50 copies.

Thanks to Aquarius Records in San Francisco for the following review of the Expo 70 "Galaxy Of Mysticism" release : "Another gloriously spaced out missive from one of our favorite purveyors of space-kraut-drone, Expo 70, aka Justin Wright, with occasional help from a small cadre of fellow sonic explorers. This one disappeared in no time, sold out in a flash, limited to 100 copies maybe. The label agreed to whip up another batch just for us, but once these are gone, you're out of luck, so grab one while you can, cuz it's another good'un. Then again, we've yet to experience a bad one from Wright.Three tracks, three movements, each an extended part of Expo's Galaxy Of Mysticism, the parts named Altar Of Mystic Rites, Entrance To The Outer Circle, and Central Sphere Of The Mystical Galaxy, which should give you an idea of what sort of druggy, spacey, heart of the sun shit we're talking about here. Spiralling strands of guitar reach out into the warm whirling blackness, looped effects pulse and throb, the sound crystalline and delicate, but subtly ominous as well, hypnotic, mesmerizing, and dreamily psychedelic. The second movement amps up the energy a little, a thick wash of whirring organ is the foundation, for high end squiggles and spidery melodies, the sound growing thicker and thicker, the underlying drone getting more and more dense, finally giving way to the closing movement, a swirling cloud of chordal swells, and layered shimmer, all held together by the simple pound of a drum machine, the track quickly growing more freaked out and psychedelic, lysergic leads stretching out amidst streaks of glitched out and swooping space FX, the guitars finally loosed and offering up heaving walls of crumbling doomic distortion. Heavy and spacey and divine. Seriously transcendent spaced out kraut psych... and INSANELY LIMITED, these are the last copies ever, cool hand screened splatter sleeves with pasted on logo, and mini printed insert". By the way folks....if you want one of these Expo 70's I have not got many left.

Magdalena Solis formed early 2009 in Brussels. The band consists of three members who all play multiple instruments. They love to goof around with samples using software, mostly slowing them down, reversing, or adding huge amounts of G-verb. The songs are the results of jam sessions and improvisations, which are then mixed with the soundscapes they create, into more structured pieces. The electric guitars are often played with a violin bow, an e-bow, drumsticks, glass tubes, knives, etc... even just blowing air onto the strings, plus cello and a bass guitar (sometimes played with a bow). Voices are often drenched in reverb, for strange mystical layers. Framedrums, bells, chimes, percussions, rainsticks and other ethnical stuff are also very present. Kitchen stuff too, or just things lying around. Anything can be an instrument really. They also use a usb keyboard with sampled instruments, but always put numerous effects on them, thus creating new 'unexisting' instruments. These guys love to jam in a free 'everything is allowed' atmosphere. The band is very hybrid and can appreciate all kinds of music and get ideas from all sorts of music. Every new song is like a new adventure to them. They have only one rule: 'amaze ourselves!'. This superb EP is available now in a hand numbered edition of 50 copies.

"At Home" (RW 103)
All In The Merry Month Of May... is Joelle Premo and "At Home" is her debut recording.Joelle came to my attention after I heard her lovely renditions of folk songs and ballads. You can just imagine sitting on the front porch with the wafting tones of singing, the banjo, accordion and other instruments drifting away into the night air."At Home" contains twelve tracks of fairly low-fi recorded music. Please don't let this put you off. This collection of songs is totally charming and worthwhile. The cds come in a white card sleeve with stencilled bird designs and a small 12 page booklet made and hand bound with red cotton by Joelle herself. The cds come in a hand numbered edition of 50 copies.

Expo 70 Review
Thanks to Dave Miller for this Foxy Digitalis review of the Expo 70 "Galaxy Of Mysticism" cdr.
"Just a second¢®gasp¢®I need to catch my breath¢®gasp¢®It¢®¯s hard to keep up with all the¢®gasp¢®jillions of releases that Expo 70 has been cranking out. Geez, how many did Justin Wright put out in ¢®¯09 alone? At least 10, I think¢®it¢®¯s gotta be more though. Like I said, it¢®¯s hard to keep up. Wright¢®¯s brand of krauty spaced-out ambiance is definitely a winner though. Sometimes I feel like my soul¢®¯s leaving my body. Sometimes I just feel like I¢®¯m levitating. Sometimes I feel like I¢®¯m in some cosmic channel communicating with other life forms. Any way you slice it, ¢®°Galaxy of Mysticism¢®± is another tithe left at the celestial altar. These three tracks are a fragrant offering rising up into the galactic unknown. This one is not just another Expo 70 release to be lost in the pile though. No, this one stands out from the others. This one is sure to be coveted by fans as a beacon of greatness in his back catalog. But, don¢®¯t just listen to me. Look at the many others who have become converts to Expo 70¢®¯s astral guitar homilies. Reverb Worship released this one in a run of 80 copies and they sold out of them within the week or so. They released a second edition of 100 copies to appease the masses. It is so good because it¢®¯s psych unlike what you¢®¯ll hear anywhere else. Wright is really coming into his own and mastering his style. This will cram you into a rocket and fly you to the moon. Lose the gravity and get ¢®°Galaxy of Mysticism.¢®± Captain¢®¯s log: ORDER THIS NOW BEFORE IT¢®¯S TOO LATE! 10/10 -- Dave Miller(16 December, 2009).
Well, sometimes things in life take some time.In the case of this particular release quite a time (and I¢®¯m talking my fault here folks).I would like to cordially invite you to the latest offering from W-S Burn. This album has been called ¢®°Tislightisoundtislightisoundislightisoundislightisound¢®¢®±
Many thanks go out to Pixie and Steve from the band for many hours of graft creating this which they consider to be their best recording so far.Pixie has hand drawn some lovely cover artwork and all the text for the lyric sheet. The band present twelve tracks recorded ¢®°live¢®± using either one or two condenser mikes on a hand held recorder.A huge thank you go out to Jamie Stewart from Xiu Xiu for mastering the album which has been produced by John Clercx. The album begins with Steve¢®¯s voice declaring ''welcome to another late night rehearsal¢®'' and ends with a piece called ''Reverb Worship Guitar''.You also get a lovely cover version of R.E.M.¢®¯s ¢®°Swan Swan H¢®±.This album is available now in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies.
This will be the final release for 2009 from Reverb Worship.By the way I forgot to mention in my last missive that Reverb Worship is now two years old. What an amazing trip its been¢®.so far.

Expo 70
"Galaxy Of Mysticism" (RW 097)
I have been a fan of the music of Expo 70 for sometime. We started discussions about doing this album many months ago.Justin went away and recorded this specially for Reverb Worship. On hearing "Galaxy Of Mysticism" I was very impressed and highly delighted. On this recording you will hear Justin Wright (electric guitar and analogue drum machine) and McKinley Jones (voices and realistic moog). The album is made up of three long psychedelic improvisations that take you to another dimension.Like some lost soundtrack to a science fiction movie. The music pulsates, floats and reverberates to the centre of your mind. The cd is available now in an edition of 80 hand numbered copies with inserts screen printed by on a gocco press by Justin and his girlfriend.

The Ophelian
¢®°Seasonal - Early Jams & Improvisations¢®±
(RW 096)
Sometimes you hear something and you like what you hear straight away. This was the case with The Ophelian who are a new trio from London. This is the bands debut recording called ¢®°Seasonal - Early Jams & Improvisations¢®±.Although the cd contains just two long tracks it shows what a cool and very promising band they really are.The first track ¢®°Lizards And Monarchs¢®± is a recent rehearsal recording of the first song the band played together. The second ¢®°Morphelian Requiem¢®± is a long twenty minute foray into slow meditative progressive rock.Effectively this song is a long jam of the original jam.Starting tentatively but building into a long psychedelic take of what it was before. The cd is available now in a hand numbered edition of 50 copies.

Many thanks to Volcanic Tongue for the following review of the Kawabata Makoto "Farewell Kiss After Rain" cd.
"Hand-numbered edition of 100 copies solo album from Kawabata of Acid Mothers Temple. Acoustic and electric guitar works. The opening track features picked acoustic guitar accompanied by backwards and bowed electric and sounds somewhere between Roy Harper and the slow sunrise tone style of Popol Vuh. Second piece is a pulsing loop composition with plenty of spectral detail".

The Restless Dead
"Live / Dead" (RW 088)
This is "Live/Dead" by The Restless Dead.Released in an edition of 60 hand numbered copies. Please note that I only have 30 copies of this cd for sale. The edition has been split with the artist 50/50. The Restless Dead use a range of homemade and ethnic instrumentation amped up in a rudimentary cognotronic style giving a Sun City Girls ethno/Morricone feel.
"For this spectacularly knarly live recording, The Restless Dead chose to perform a set comprised entirely of tunes originally composed by frequent collaborator C.Joynes.Filling the room with a slowburning aural smog, the stark folk structures of the originals are filtered through a sea of fluctuating frequencies and fluttering
speakertone. As the performance gains charge and momentum, the sound blossoms to take in reverb-laden slowcore, middle-eastern modes, ecstatic garage primitivism and barely-there drag-racer rock moves, all generated by equipment of uncertain provenance.Enveloped in the murk, the audience for the most part maintain a zoned silence throughout, giving sections of the recording an eerie disembodied quality. While the sonics might give the impression of a rudimentary cassette bootleg, with audio fidelity struggling to emerge through layers of magnetic tape crud and dictaphone hiss, it is claimed that this is a detailed and accurate document of the sound in that room on the night".Available now !!!!

Check out this review of Wyrdstone's "Cuffern" cd in the "Folkus" column in next weeks issue of Shindig Magazine. http://www.shindig-magazine.com
....and thanks to buisness lady @ Norman Records for this cool and way out review of the Mizuumi "Motion" cd .......
"Motion" is the latest two track offering from Mizuumi on Reverb Worship. Reverb Worship specialize in limited CD-R print runs of obscure and bizarre experimentalists with Mizuumi being no exception. 'Motion' is mega chilled, like an opium den or one of those sheesh bars you see the kids frequent nowadays. These guys are fully in the desert searching for the new sound! First track, "Pushkar Lake" is the soundtrack to a dream where you meet Jim Morrison in the desert and he tells you to put on a rock concert. You want to tell him you are not interested but you don't wanna get all aggressive and harsh the buzz so you agree, so long as you can invite Aerosmith because they rock and have tune about a dude who looks like a lady called 'Dude Looks Like a Lady'. It's got tablas, guitar solo wig-outs and indecipherable female chants. It's completely peaceful and It's 40 minutes long. "Chooops" is a little easier to get into yet still opts to maintain the spaced out psyche rock travel path. The unending chants and ethereal drones are guaranteed to keep the most irate listeners at ease for at least another ten minutes. Totally monged hippy rock!! The ultimate soundtrack to that spliff you we're about to light.

Thanks to John Cavanagh for his lovely Boa Melody Bar review of the Wyrdstone "Cuffern" cd :
"A brief burst of The Quarrymen's Chant (which I suspect comes straight out of the archives at Cecile Sharp House) opens this album, giving way to a lovely original piece where voices float in a mist over guitar and, I think, mandolin. Much of the record is devoted to charming acoustic guitar from Clive Murrell, plus some recorder, a touch of birdsong, some loops and drones. As I write, it's a sunny late afternoon and Cuffern makes a fine soundtrack for the moment". (JC)

Light Of Shipwreck
"When I Hold The Ashes" (RW 078)
After quite some considerable time im very pleased to be able to announce the latest cd by Light Of Shipwreck called "When I Hold The Ashes".Light Of Shipwreck is the one man ambient drone project of USA based musician Ben Fleury-Steiner.This cd has been delayed for a while but im more than happy with the finished cd itself. The music on this cd features deep dense drone sounds and shifting swirling melodies. At times pinned down with programmed percussive rhytmns.Ben has had previous releases on Peasant Magik, Crucial Blast/Crucial Bliss and Gears Of Sand among others. The cover and inserts are made from thick tracing paper which has a marbled effect running throughout giving a semi transluscent quality. The cd comes in an edition of 70 copies.
The Wyrdstone "Cuffern" cd has now sold out of its original 50 hand numbered copies. Thanks to everyone who has purchaesd these. We will be doing another edition of 50 copies. These will not be numbered but do contain exactly the same content. The Sproatly Smith cd has been selling well and has gone off basically all over the globe.Work on the next release which is The Yew And The Hare has been slightly delayed but im getting there....slowly !!!.This will be worth the wait I promise.

New Release
Sproatly Smith
"The Yew And The Hare"
(RW 076)
A while back when annoucing the release of the Wyrdstone "Cuffern" cd, I mentioned that it was the first in a trio of superbly wondeful debut releases of a psychedelic folk nature. All three of these get my highest possible recommendation.Well, here is the second of the trio. This time we have "The Yew And The Hare" by Sproatly Smith.Again, this album has been recorded especially for me over a number of months.I must admit that I have been smitten by the music on this cd.We have twelve tracks which takes a pastoral folk feel and twists it with a psychedelic edge adding voices, samples and field recordings to the mix.The cd features twelve tracks including a lovely version of "Gently Johnny" which was originally featured on the soundtrack to the original "Wickerman" film.
The cd is available now and comes in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies. The cover is made from paper which as been mottle sprayed in grey and overprinted with a 17th century woodcut design.

New Releases
Hi again.A few weeks ago I told you about a trio of debut releases of a psychedelic folk nature that were soon to emerge on Reverb Worship. The clutch starts off with Wyrdstone's "Cuffern" and then followed by Sproatly Smith's "The Yew And The Hare" album. The third release will come from The Hare And The Moon.
Wyrdstone "Cuffern"
(RW 075)
This is "Cuffern" by Wyrdstone.Released on Reverb Worship as RW 075.Wyrdstone is the psychedelic folk project of guitarist Clive Murrell.I first came across Clive's music late last year.To coin a phrase Clive's music can be discribed as "perfect pastoral psych-folk with hints of Camberwick Green".After a few discussions it was agreed that we would do this release.Clive went away after telling me that he was doing some recording over the christmas period and the new year. The cd contains ten delightful tracks comprising arrangements of traditional folk songs and new material.Clive seemlessly merges styles showing wonderful musicianship using acoustic and electric guitar, effects, percussion, recorder, field recordings and the odd voice or two.
The cd comes in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies in white card sleeves with paste on artwork with a "Wickerman" theme.

New Release
Annapurna Illusion
"Matins Of The Twelve Passion"
(RW 067)
Im really delighted to tell you that the Annapurna Illusion "Matins Of The Twelve Passion" cd is now finally available. This cd features just two long tracks, "Cannnibal Girls Mantra (Parts I-III) and "You Never See The Sun In Your Dreams (Parts I & II).The front cover features a skeleton of a snake. The reverse is a menacing human skeleton with mandala patterned eye sockets. The analogue psychedelics of the music on this cd reminds me of early Tangerine Dream with pulsing rhythms, buzzing and humming electronics and voices.
This cd is available now in an edition of 50 copies in a resealable plastic packet.
3/5/2009:
New Release
Michael Vallera
"Shallow Water Blackout"
(RW 074)
This is "Shallow Water Blackout" by Michael Vallera.Sometime ago I was contacted by Michael who is a Chicago, Illinois based experimental noise musician. After listening to his work which I liked very much we agreed to do a release together. The cd features four excellent tracks recorded at the Art Institute Of Chicago, Joyride Studio in Chicago, Workbook Studios in Columbus ,Ohio and at home. The music has been carefully built from analog synthesizer patches and modulated guitar, relying heavily on a E-mu modular systems synthesizer.Recording individual layers as been varied using everything from a broken four track cassette to hi-fi 2 inch reel to reel recorders.
The cd comes in a hand screen printed white card digipack style cover (printed by Michael himself) in a hand numbered edition of 50 copies. The edition is split between Michael and myself .I only have 25 copies for sale of this cd.
29/4/2009:
New Release
Alan Scheurman "Old Patterns"
(RW 072)
Tracks:
Ukupacha / Starless / The Ugliest End / Reds / Marco Polo / What You Think You Know (UK) / New York Underwater / Akasha / Heath Death / शवआसन
This is Alan Scheurman's "Old Patterns"cd.This album was originally available as a download only.Alan Scheurman comes from Detroit,Michigan and is in my opinion a very talented singer-songwriter indeed.Late in 2008 Al and myself discussed releasing this album as a limited edition cd after the album gained some really cool reviews (see below).
Al took on the job of producing the covers which are screen printed in graduating shades of red and blue. The covers are made from brown card which have been sourced from material made from recycled plastic bottles. The cd contains ten superb tracks and has a slightly different track listing for Reverb Worship version in the UK to the previously available.I will only have 41 copies of this cd available for sale.
Reviews:
"A low roaring feedback wraps the entire record in a fog, dense at some points, but often precious¢®haunting but somehow comforting. The ambience is that of an empty dark house in a light-wooded area of permanent night, pulsing with echoed memories. A chill wafts in through broken windows and the sad sonorous ring of a neglected piano shunted to a corner mixes with a lonely brass blaring like a lazy wind rolling over the roof, with tightly snapped acoustic strums like the raindrops falling through a network of floorboard cracks rippling the moonlight's reflection in the basement's gathered puddles." -DEEP CUTZ
"...like Animal Collective live from the Honky Chateau... his passion for music and art has gone unscathed... Scheurman gets his ghost on, singing haunted freak-folk that would probably sound awesome during that one sweat lodge scene from the third season of Lost." -DETOUR
"Alan's unique vocal styling shuffles between hushed soft spoken realizations and the adventurous poignant visionary rants and ramblings witnessed in Akasha. Exploration continues throughout the tracks with time given to wandering yet somehow unifying horns and space for deep sacred meditations." -DETROIT AS A PORTAL
"The psychedelic-folk blueprints laid out in Rodriguez's classic "Sugarman" ¢®ª a musician and his guitar out in front, with art-rock orchestration sculpted around it ¢®ª basically comprise the foundation of Old Patterns.Scheurman's voice and guitar strumming are fragile and old-fashioned against the record's recurring ominous motifs of bassy horn blasts, reverb and noise. The juxtaposition, as strange as it may sound on paper, makes for a chilly but quite sweet record." -METROTIMES
Quite simply this is a lovely limited edition album.Available now in a limited edition of only 41 copies.

New Release
A Wooden Door
(RW 071)
A Wooden Door is USA based guitarist David Kellett. The cd contains twenty two low-fi instrumental tracks recorded at various intervals over the last few years. The tracks range from solo acoustic numbers,to fuzzy psychedelic tunes. Some tracks feature a recorder which brings a folky medievil feel to the music.David shows his musical influences with a few interesting covers too by Ulver, Burzum and Darkthrone.Overall a rather charming debut recording which reminds me of the music of Ben Chasny, Voice Of The Seven Woods and James Blackshaw.
The cd is available now and comes in a limited hand numbered edition of 40 copies with insert.
You may have noticed that I have made a few changes to the website. The discography section has now gone and been replaced with "available releases" .The photos section has been replaced with "gone" instead.I just think this makes it easier when you are looking rather than trawling down one long page.
I will be doing two releases which are being made in a collaboration with the artists themselves. These are slightly different cover wise having screen printed covers. The first one will have covers made from recycled plastic bottles and they look really cool. The second will have a card cover. These two releases will be quite limited. The editions will be split 50/50 with the artists themselves. The next release im working on is the debut release by A Wooden Door.More news about all this soon. There are many other releases in the pipeline for 2009 and beyond...

New Release
Drowning The Virgin Silence
"Beneath The Sulfur Sky"
(RW 070)
You may recall a few weeks ago I mentioned this Drowning The Virgin Silence cd and I posted a photo of the covers just after being stencil sprayed.Well, here it is.Drowning The Virgin Silence is the musical project of USA based musician Richard Vergez."Beneath The Sulfur Sky" is a super eight track instrumental cd featuring a culmination of musical elements including drone, shoegaze guitar stylings, keyboards and feild recordings. Some tracks merge the sounds of thunderstorms and rain with ambient ethereal guitars and ambient soundscapes and textures.Richard also does his interpretation of a Slowdive track which reminds me of a long lost 1960's spy movie.
Each cover is unique and has been individually spray stencilled.I wanted to come up with an image which suited the title of the cd.I have been inspired by two things.Firstly the wonderous rings of saturn and secondly volcanic activity, especially lava flow and magma.

New Release
Far Black Furlong "Caerbre" 3" cdr
(RW 069)
Far Black Furlong are a musical project that I have liked for quite some time since hearing their limited edition recording on Barl Fire. So,its a great pleasure for me to release music by them in the form of "Caerbre".Far Black Furlong make experimental, ambient music that also draws on folk, drones, classical and electronica. Their music is based on live improvisation that is often later edited and treated, and otherwise mangled. FBF are comprised of baroque oboist Mark Baigent, composer Richard Moult, medievil harp and woodwind player Anne Marie Summers, guitarist Ian Tengwall & Andy Cotterill on electronics & drones. They have had previous releases on Barl Fire, Beta Lactum Ring and ICR.

This is the "Death By Someone's Choice" by the very mysterious Moor Loups. The band come from Portland, Oregon and their cd features four tracks of quite dark, considered music. At times there is a psychedelic twist with samples of animals, distorted noises, dub, echoes, voices and murmerings, saxophone, keyboard and guitars pinned down by a simplistic slow drum machine pattern. The cd has a running time of around 20 minutes and comes with oversized photographic artwork featuring an antique photograph of two lumberjacks.

After a fair time in waiting I can finally tell you about this release. Here we have "Cloud Vortex" by Arizona based ambient electronic musician TIMAS 23."Cloud Vortex" is the first of two releases im doing from TIMAS 23 aka Timothy Stamper. On first hearing of this music it took me back to the mid 1970's when I used to watch a television programme on BBC1 called "Cosmos".It was presented by Karl Sagan and was all about astronomy and space travel. The music on this TV programme fascinated me.Images of galaxies ,the solar system and discussions and theories of life on other planets became combined with music by Vangelis, Klaus Schultze, Tangerine Dream and others.TIMAS 23's music very much reminds me of this. The cd contains three tracks and over 70 minutes of dense cosmic sounds in a similar vein to the Bass Communion "Pacific Codex" album.

After a very busy productive period I am very please to tell you about my final release of 2008.Pete Fosco is a superb guitarist from Cincinatti,USA.He debuted with a wonderful and long sold out cassette on Digitalis Ltd earlier this year and then a further self released cdr called "Pit Blues".

Thank You !!

Blood On Tape
"Language & Movement"
(RW 050)
During the summer Blood on Tape sent me a package containing some really superb improvised drone tinged music.I was very impressed and it was obvious they were brimming with interesting ideas. They eventually sent me a new piece they had been working on which turned out to be "Language & Movement".This is a 24 minute piece which slowly evolves, gradually morphing in and out of different themes starting quietly with what sounds like chattering bird noises. The cd is available now in a hand numbered edition of 47 copies featuring a stencilled organic design. Its also Reverb Worship release number fifty and has the new RW logo on its reverse.
I have three copies left each of the Kawabata Makoto "Subjection Of Drone" and Tranko cds left for sale. They are on ebay right now.

New Release
Memphis Khan "The Merchant EP"
(RW 047)
Hi again. This release has been delayed for a while but I think that you will find this well worth waiting for.
These guys have produced a superb six track cd of lovely songs which features a great cover version of Michael Jackson's "Beat It".The band have a very hazy psychedelic tinged 60's sound with harmony vocals, acidic sounding guitar playing with a raga-esque feel.
The cd is available now and comes in a limited numbered edition of 50 copies with lime green covers featuring a cover design of a "space knight".
Many thanks to Volcanic Tongue who have given the Tranko cd the following review "Hand-numbered edition of 50 copies from this new Japanese underground group with a previous single on The Great Pop Supplement. The sound is based around hand-percussion, ethnic instruments, sitar and chants and they have a great, light-fluffy communal psych feel that balances the ritual work of Ghost with east-Asian jags, some of the more ethnic-focussed Krautrock - Embryo et al ¨C and even some Moondog-esque minimalism".
Nice one !!

Here is the first of two new releases that have been on the backburner for a while. The Shooting Star Experiment Of Lights is american musician Kurtis Kouns. The photo above is of Kurtis playing live in Paris. His cd contains two slow burning, humming, fizzing ambient drone like tracks constructed from just manipulated guitar and effects and voices. There are no synthesizers or computers used on this recording. The cd itself clocks in at just under forty five minutes in length. The cd is available now in an edition of 50 copies.
Thanks to everyone who purchased copies of the Kawabata Makoto "Subjection Of Drone" cdr.It was my fastest selling release so far.It actually sold out in about 36 hours. For those that missed out check out Norman Records, Volcanic Tongue, Boa Melody Bar, Eclipse Records,Time Lag Records and Tomentosa for copies.

Kawabata Makoto
"Subjection Of Drone"
(RW 045)
After being a fan of Kawabata Makoto's music for a long time it really is great to be able to announce this new solo recording on Reverb Worship. We discussed doing a release sometime ago and due to his touring and musical commitments it seems to have taken a long time to come to fruition. However the wait has been really worthwhile and here is the result."Subjection Of Drone" is a solo improvised "live" recording from a performance at Music Japonica in Osaka,Japan on 4th October 2008.The cd features one long track which flows in different segments starting off with ethereal jazz styled technique then into bowed string playing, then multitracked drone, followed by glissando styled effects finishing off with ever increasing guitar noise. The piece comes to an abrupt end followed by polite applause.
The cd comes in a one time edition of 100 hand numbered copies. Each cd is different and comes in a resealable polythene style packet.
5/11/2008:
Its great to think that Reverb Worship is now one year old.I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has taken an interest in what I am up to.There are some rather good releases coming your way including a cool Kawabata Makoto drone cd and this little beauty......
Bjerga / Iversen
"Amplified Spectral Decay"
(RW 046)
This wonderful drone duo comprises Sindre Bjerga and Jan-M.Iversen.The cd features one long "live" organic shifting drone which morphs in and out from a dense fizzing harmonic soundscape with slowly amplified percussive noises to intensifying decaying haziness. The card covers are all individually stencilled using various colours depicting a psychedelic round eye shape.
Available now in an edition of 52 hand numbered copies with inserts.

New Releases and Competition
Harvey Lord
"I Don't Believe I Exist"
(RW 042)
This is Harvey Lord's "I Don't Believe I Exist".It follows on from his debut "Weighted Down" cd and his "Static" cd recorded with Dave George (both on Reverb Worship). On this new album Harvey presents eleven acoustic based songs delivered in his usual laid back Nick Drake-esque vocal style. The album was partly recorded in a dilapidated old church in Liverpool and features some lovely inventive acoustic guitar playing. On the bluesy "Roll Down The Hill" we also get the introduction of a dubby percussive rhythm. This cdr is available now.It has a white card sleeve with paste on artwork done in five different pastel shades.

Cone II Review
This is a really nice review from the Boa Melody Bar of the Cone II cdr.
"Cone is Hermann Blaupunkt of the Netherlands. The album starts with a psych-dirge which recalls Loop but this is a diversionary tactic it would seem as the rest of the release is constructed from hypnotic acoustic guitar picking, expansive drone and field recordings. "Vaderdag" is particularly fine - a bottomless well of ambient drone echoing with exotic birdsong".
Mmm... nice one !!

Yet More Release News !!!
Jeez !!!..this is the second of my new releases which has come together much quicker than I originally expected.
Dugoutcanoe "Demonstration"
(RW 040)
Dugoutcanoe is a one man project in the form of Jacob Isaacs from Denver, Colorado,USA.We struck up a friendship via email over the last two or three months.Jacob eventually sent me his "Demonstration" cdr which I really liked. He plays freaky multitracked electric guitar, tape loop effects,a horn and percussion... and sings all at the same time.
This cdr is available now in an edition of 48 copies with numbered brown paper insert. The covers are made from material sourced from India. They have all been hand stitched by myself and are all different. They come packaged in a resealable cellophane wrapper.
The camellia "-23'39-" EP (RW 039) is available now.
camellia are an excellent trio from Japan. The band play instumental post/progressive rock with some interesting time signatures reminding me a little of a more commercial version of Koenjihyakkei or Ruins. The cd features three excellent tracks and comes in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies.

Matt Baumann
"An Island"
(RW 036)
This is "An Island" by saxophonist Matt Baumann. Over the summer months we talked about releasing an album.Matt's response was to send me this wonderful solo recording. The cd is split into eight tracks.Imagine the waves breaking on the beach of some remote deserted island with echoing calls of a lyrical, mournful and lonely saxophone crying from a inner soul.
I wanted to combine the release with a recollection from my past.I always loved the music of saxophonist Jan Garbarek and cover designs of the german ECM record label he was on.So this is the result.
This cd is available now together with the "Spirit Of Being" 3" cdr by Pregnant.

Les Beyond is the solo guise of Erin Ward from the US band Shearing Pinx. Her latest solo recording is entitled "Privacy Act" and recorded specially for Reverb Worship.Erin has created six lovely instrumental solo pieces for electric guitar. Her technique involves looped repetative guitar passages which evoke the solitary thought provoking feel of drifting. This feel is continued in the cover design which depicts sand dunes from high above.

Kwannon "Clear Blue" Review
Many thanks to John Cavanagh for giving my Kwannon release this excellent review on the latest Boa Melody update.
"Clear Blue" is a solo project from singer & multi-instrumentalist Jenne Micale, her soaring operatic voice heard here alongside dulcimers (hammer & mountain), whistles drums and, according to the insert, chest beating... well, why not?! .She creates a mysterious and ethereal sound world which is rooted in her interests in medieval music. One track has a gently electronic feel to it, but most of the album is acoustic, with her lyrics drawing on Ralph Waldo Emerson and W.B. Yeats in addition to her own work. Those with a taste for Fursaxa or indeed something more gothic should definitely hear this". (JC)

A big thank you goes out to Brad Rose for doing a label spotlight on my Reverb Worship label. This can be found at the Foxy Digitalis Online Music Magazine
This is the third of my new releases.Teeth Collection deliver two excellent untitled creepy tracks of drone inspired noise clocking in at over thirty minutes. The first track is a real monster which slowly pulses along from quietly menacing background noises to gradually increasing reverb soaked swaying washes of noise which stop abruptly at the end.The second track is a less intense gentle affair with what sounds like processed gurgling animal cries calling through an ambient industrial humming backdrop of eeriness.
Available in an edition of 50 numbered copies with a very odd looking cover showing four weapon laiden tribesmen.
17/7/2008:
Kwannon "Clear Star"

"Clear Star" features eleven tracks and is Kwannon's debut release recorded in 2002.The cd is available in an edition of 52 copies with hand numbered insert. The covers are made from thick handmade pale blue paper that are strewn with flower petals and leaves embedded into the surface. Each one of these cdrs are unique.

Over the last week or so I have been working on two new releases. The first of these is by The End Springs and called "There Lies The Electric Reasons".Usually The End Springs music is acoustic based. On this cdr you get seven new interpretations of songs played in a hazy psychedelic electric style which adds a new twist.
The second release is by Harvey Lord & Dave George. You will know Harvey Lord from his excellent debut "Weighted Down" cdr on Reverb Worship. This time Harvey has recorded a superb ambient style piece of music with Dave George as a duo entitled "Static".Harvey and Dave are members of the Electric Free Time Machine."Static" is one long sixty minute track recorded in a caravan on a hot day in May 2008, and is an improvisation based loosely on the process of dreaming. The track contains some lovely acoustic guitar playing which morphs in an and out of ethereal ambient drones and looped found sounds.
Both of these releases will be available in the next few days (hopefully). If you would like these and/or the second edition of the LSD March "Jurando" cdr I do a combined postage cost.

New Releases
I am finally very pleased to be able to tell you that the temples "Serpentine" album is now back from being remastered in the USA.Although I say so myself it sounds awesome. The album has two long drone tracks entitled "Somnambulance" and "Almost Endless" sound sourced from a cassette of duo baritone guitar improvisations."The idea behind these pieces is exploring the "deafening" roar of silence and is an attempt to divorce the idea of of "heaviness" from that of "volume".This is meant to be music of sublety and patience that should be absorbed rather than listened to.Over time the music will appear".

28/4/2008 : At the moment I am working (among various other things) on a totally superb album by Kelly Nesbitt called "Kell's Bells".It will have packaging that is different from my previous releases.More will be revealed in the not too distant future. If there is anyone out there interested in my early releases by Vapaa, Mountainhood and Keijo may I remind you that the only distros to get these from are Norman Records,Tomentosa and Volcanic Tongue (see links page). You could also try the Boa Melody Bar too. Both of my current Sand Snowman "The Twilight Game" and "I'm Not Here" releases are starting to get fairly low.I suggest if you want these get them while you can. Some of my releases are available on ebay too.

Siddhi are italian duo Delfo Catania and Elena Mandolfo. The album is split into five tracks and is an elegy to wood. Each track is named after a particular species of wood.Musically the album is superb coming over like a mesmeric floating concoction of Popul Vuh and James Blackshaw-esque guitars with ethereal drones, percussion ,bells ,chimes ,birdsongs and field recordings. This is available now !!!!
18/4/2008 : The Wooden Spoon 3 cdr is down to about 20 copies left.It is unlikely that I will be doing a second edition.

15/4/2008 : At this moment in time its a difficult call to which release will be next. There are a number of probables including Siddhi, Kelly Nesbitt, The Antique Brothers and temples.I don't really want to tempt fate and mention too much for the future (for obvious reasons).
Still available at the moment from me are both second editions of the Sand Snowman "I'm Not Here" and "The Twilight Game" cdrs. Both are hand numbered as before and have different sleeves to the original issues.Eric Barnett's "All The Way, Here And Back" went on sale last week and orders for that are now being or have been processed.A small amount still remain of the Stone Baby "Understanding Urban Phenomena" and Harvey Lord's "Weighted Down" cdr plus copies of the North Hero "January February",Wooden Spoon 3 and Mountainhood's "Brother The Cloud".If you are after earlier sold out releases try the distros listed on the links page.If you can't find what you want anywhere I suppose I could make you a custom copy of what you want but it will not be numbered.

4/4/2008 : My next release is by Eric Barnett and called "All The Way, Here And Back".Eric plays acoustic and lap steel guitar, banjo and keyboards. He has used many effects pedals to create this 30 minute plus piece of shimmering, droning ambient music specially for this release. It was recorded totally "live".The covers are made from very pale peach coloured paper with feint white marbled effect. They have been stencilled in metallic green triangles with matching cdr labels (see photos section).Made in an edition of 50 copies with hand numbered insert. Each copy is different. This release will be available soon.

18/3/2008 : I have decided that I will be doing a second edition of the Sand Snowman "The Twilight Game" cdr.It will be in an edition of 50 copies and will have slightly different artwork to the first issue. This time on black card rather than cream paper. The cd will contain the same music as before.More details soon.
14/3/2008 : I am very pleased to announce the imminent arrival of my tenth label release. Its by San Francisco psychedelic higher minded folk hero Mountainhood and titled "Brother The Cloud".This follows swiftly on from his excellent "Year Of The Mountain EP".This time Mr Michael Hilde delivers a really "out there" seventy eight minute mind bomb featuring nineteen tracks of low-fi acoustic based acidic melodies with varied instrumentation, percussion, flutes, handclaps and communal singing.
The cd comes in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies. Each cover is different and sprayed in flourescent shades of orange or lime green on either red, orange, purple or yellow card.Actually the photos of the covers do not do it justice really. They look really stunning (see photos section).
This cdr is available for preorder now and will be ready hopefully in about 5 to 7 days time.
13/3/2008 : My next planned release is by acoustic guitarist Harvey Lord and called "Weighted Down" (RW 009).This will be a fifteen track cdr available in an edition of 50 hand numbered copies.Harvey's musicianship and dreamy hypnotic melodies fit somewhere between Ben Chasny (Six Organs Of Admittance), Rick Tomlinson aka Voice Of The Seven Woods,Nick Drake and John Martyn.
Check out my band links page
10/3/2008 : The next release on Reverb Worship will be by North Hero and called "January February".Its a cdr limited to 48 hand numbered copies. The covers are made from hand made yellow paper which is sprayed with white pigment. My idea was to recreate a parchment paper feel to the covers. They look pretty cool when you hold them up to the light (see photos page).North Hero are a duo from the USA.The album has seven tracks with music which features electric piano, keyboard effects and shoegazey shimmering reflective guitar parts that have a Cocteau Twins / 4AD feel to them. The cdr will be available in about 7 days time.If you want to preoreder a copy you can.
The Sand Snowman "I'm Not Here" cdr has almost sold out.If you want a copy contact me first please.

1/3/2008 : The Keijo "About Around" Special Edition cdr is now SOLD OUT here.I will not be making any more copies of this release. You may still find the odd copy @ Boa Melody Bar, Volcanic Tongue and/or a few others if you are lucky (see links page). Many thanks to everyone who has purchased a copy.
The Mountainhood "Year Of The Mountain EP" has SOLD OUT.This release took ages to prepare the covers which were very labour intensive but well worth it in the end.I will be releasing a full Mountainhood album called "Brother The Cloud" later this year. Its a real out there full on recording.
Wooden Spoon's wonderful "Wooden Spoon 3" album has gained a fair amount of interest and some pretty cool reviews too.Its my first 100 copy release.Available to order now.
Stone Baby's "Understanding Urban Phenomena and Modernism" cdr is now finished and available for ordering. It will be ready to ship/post mid week commencing 2/3/2008.Im very pleased to be releasing this.It has pale blue metallic coated paper covers and hand sprayed matching cdr's (see photos page). It sounds kinda like a cross between Robedoor and "Ghosts on Magnetic Tape" era Bass Communion.
